This is what a night looks like

Everyone gets asked once, automatically, on the Monday of the night's own week. One tap from the notification, or from a link in the group chat — no app to open, no account to make.

Anyone still on “maybe” gets one nudge two days out. One. Then it leaves them alone.

At a time you set, the pairs are drawn and land on everyone's phone at once. It isn't a list — it's a countdown and two reels, and everybody watches it separately at the same moment.

Partners rotate: nobody plays with the same person twice until everyone has partnered everyone.

Whoever's playing enters the score; the other pair confirms or queries it. The host can overrule. Nobody is hunting for a pen, and the table updates as you go.

Points, games for and against, and a form guide of recent results. Ratings move on the margin of victory and who you beat, not just whether you won.

Everyone gets their own line over breakfast — what the night did to their rating and their place in the table. A good night gets said out loud.
