A look inside
This is what a night looks like
Made-up players, the real app. Nothing here needs an account, and nothing you do on this page is saved.
Walk round a demo league →A whole season, tonight's night half played, and the organiser's screens. Tap anything — nothing saves.Monday: who's in?
Everyone gets asked once, automatically, on the Monday of the night's own week. One tap from the notification, or from a link in the group chat — no app to open, no account to make.
Padel Thursday — who's in?
Thu 24 Sept, 19:00 at Padel HBZ. 4 in so far.
Anyone still on “maybe” gets one nudge two days out. One. Then it leaves them alone.
Thursday: the draw drops
At a time you set, the pairs are drawn and land on everyone's phone at once. It isn't a list — it's a countdown and two reels, and everybody watches it separately at the same moment.
Partners rotate: nobody plays with the same person twice until everyone has partnered everyone.
On the night: scoring
Whoever's playing enters the score; the other pair confirms or queries it. The table on the wall fills in the moment a score goes in — marked provisional until everyone has agreed — so the standings are live all evening, not just at the end. Nobody is hunting for a pen. Got one wrong? The host can put it right for 24 hours afterwards, and then the record is the record.

The table
Points, games for and against, and a form guide of recent results. Ratings move on the margin of victory and who you beat, not just whether you won.
| # | Player | Form | P | W | D | L | GD | Pts |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Priya | WWDWL | 12 | 6 | 4 | 2 | +18 | 38 |
| 2 | Alba | WLWWD | 12 | 6 | 2 | 4 | +11 | 34 |

The morning after
Everyone gets their own line over breakfast — what the night did to their rating and their place in the table. A good night gets said out loud.
🥇 You've taken top spot!
6W 0L · 30–6 games · Elo +94 · 1st in the table
One of those nights 🙃
1W 2D 3L · 15–21 games · Elo −24 · 12th in the table
Prefer it straight? There's a setting that swaps the banter for coaching — margins, what went for and against you, what to work on.
Crown nights
A one-night league: everyone plays the same number of games, partners redrawn every round, and a crown at the end. Level on points at the top? The app sets up a play-off to settle it.
🏆 Alba wins the Friday Crown!
17 points, 26–14 games — Priya second.
One setting, chosen once
Scored the way your lot already play
Every group has a way of doing it and nobody wants to be argued out of theirs. The draw, the table and the morning-after recap all work the same underneath — only the maths changes.
League points — the football table
Points for a win, fewer for a draw, nothing for a loss, and game difference splitting anyone level. Every match is the same fixed number of games, so the night runs to a length you can book a court around.
Americano — what most clubs run socially
Every point in a match is shared out between the two pairs, and you bank the ones you won — lose 11–13 and you still take 11. Rally scoring, no 15/30/40, and the match ends the moment the two scores reach the target: 16, 21, 24 or 32. Level at the target is a draw; there is no deuce and no playing on. The target divides into the serve too, so 24 points is six serves each. Nobody finishes a night on nothing.
A full set — proper padel rules
First to six games with a two-game lead, and a tie-break at 6–6. No draws.
Plus/minus — Crown nights, if your club ranks that way
Games won less games lost, as a running total — the opposite of Americano. A hiding costs you rather than just scoring you less, so you can finish a night on a minus and the last round still matters to everybody.
A cup night can run Americano on its own, whatever the season around it is doing — which is the cheapest way to try the format on your group before you commit a whole league to it. And a one-off match can simply run to the clock: sixty, ninety or a hundred and twenty minutes, finished early if the court runs out.
Beyond the scoreline
Nights, seasons and getting better
A league is more than a way of counting. These are the parts that decide what a night feels like, how a season ends, and whether anybody can tell they're improving.
Everyone partners everyone — the full tournament, on a Crown night
A whist tournament: you play one round with each of the other players and meet each of them twice as an opponent. There is no draw to be lucky with, because everybody gets the strong players and the weak ones in equal measure — so the crown goes to whoever did most with the same partners as everybody else. It only works at exact field sizes, so the night caps at one and anyone past it goes on the reserve list.
A draw that evens itself out — on an ordinary league night
Rotating pairs never repeat a partner until everyone has played with everyone. Over a season too short to get through them all — eighteen players in ten weeks means ten of the other seventeen — which ten would otherwise be pure chance, and somebody spends the season alongside the bottom of the table. The draw now corrects for that week by week, and your own page shows you the number so you can check it.
Crown a winner, go again — a new season
A season ends when you say so. Somebody wins it, the table starts again from nothing, and every result that got you there is still on record. Partner history carries across unless you ask for a clean sheet, so week one of the new season doesn't hand the same four people each other again.
Are you actually getting better? — performance tracking
Two ratings, deliberately. League Elo runs the table and starts again at 1200 in every new competition, so a new league is a fresh start for everybody. Personal Elo follows you across all of it — league nights, cups and one-off matches — and your profile draws it as a line, from your first rated match to now, with your peak marked. A number tells you where you are. The line is the only thing that answers whether you are improving.
Nothing here has to be decided up front. A league can run for a season on fixed partners and football scoring, try an Americano cup on a Thursday to see how it lands, and switch the season over afterwards — the table, the draw and the morning-after recap all follow.
